Dr. Smith is a founding trustee of We and AI, a UK organization dedicated to fighting racial bias in algorithms and AI. He is also a fellow of the RSA and is a founding member of the Royal Institution’s Challenging Pseudoscience group, along with with chair Angela Saini, Gina Rippon, Suhair Khan, Magdalena Skipper, Jonathan Portes, Rumman Chowdhury, and others.
